Shortly after our fall season, we left for our first tour to Russia sponsored by the US Embassy. We were honored to perform in theaters such as the Stanislavsky in Moscow and the historic Mariinsky in St. Petersburg. We were awestruck to be in spaces where so much art had been performed, where so many people had convened to be inspired by dance. As always, the lesson is that the human need for art is universal.
