BRANDON GRAHAM

What has been your most memorable experience in the BFA program?
My most memorable moment was in [former LINES company member] Maurya Kerr’s improvisation class. We were so submerged in our experience that it brought not only me but other classmates to tears. To be able to experience your emotions thoroughly is rare and special. This program pulls so much out of you from the most genuine part of your being, which not only changes the way you dance but changes the way you live and experience life.
What four words best describe your experience?
Experimental, loving, individual, blessing.
MADISON PALMER

What has been your most memorable experience in the BFA program?
The greatest memory I will walk away with is that of my senior year Alonzo Week. Having attended the Summer Program twice and worked with Alonzo my freshman through sophomore year, I was astounded by how personal this experience felt and how much knowledge he still had to share. During class he asked us, “How many of you put yourselves down?” and all of our hands shot up. The next day we sat down together and worked on affirmations to remind ourselves of the greatness that lives within us at
all times. I still practice saying my affirmation in my head any time I feel myself struggling. It was humbling to work with someone who wants to uncover and bring forth your truest artist.
What four words best describe your experience?
Nurturing, possibility, discovery, full.
