A Webinar By Our Youth & School Programs Teaching Artists

Earlier this month, four of our teaching artists led a webinar for the National Dance Education Organization’s (NDEO) Teaching Dance Online Webinar Series. Titled “Undoing White Supremacy and Responding to Trauma in Dance”, the presentation shared their experiences in adapting HeART with LINES – LINES Ballet’s funded school programming – to focus on undoing white supremacy and responding to trauma, all while transitioning to a distance-learning format. This was a wonderful opportunity connect live with the 165 dance educators who tuned in and we look forward to continuing conversations around these topics as our youth and schools online programming carries on this Fall.

PRESENTATION RESOURCES:

This Fall, LINES Ballet continues to offer online youth and school programming ranging from weekly classes to fully-customized packages. These offerings are rooted in our unique HeART curriculum that benefits a child’s physical wellness and imagination, and strive to follow best practices in anti-racist, culturally-responsive and trauma-informed teaching.

LINES Ballet Teaching Artists are also available for online private group classes. Please contact community@linesballet.org for information.
